 Volunteer Needs

Volunteers play a vital role in the success of the Westside Summer Fest and are needed for set-up, tear-down, and activities during the festival.  If you are interested in becoming involved in the planning of or volunteering for the 4th Annual Westside Summer Fest, please contact:

Stephanie Campbell at 517-999-2894 or stephaniec@nwlansing.or

Below you will find a list of tasks that we recruited volunteers to carry out during the 2009 Westside Summer Fest.

In addition to the “day of” we also need volunteer help with:

  • Distributing flyers about the SF in the neighborhoods – would like to start that the week of July 6. We can go out in the evenings as a group or on our own.
  • Street clean up activities the week before the festival (weekend of July 18&19 and week of July 20)
  • Building balloon arches with kids the day before the festival (July 24).  If there are people willing to help make these, who know how to do it, then let’s make ‘em. If not, no biggie.
  • Also the day before (July 24)– it would help to have a few strong backs to help load the EJ & Sons moving truck up with the picnic tables, hoops, tables, and chairs that we borrow from various locations around town.

Day of:
